Chrome Extension for SmartBill Integration and Price Management

Summary

For DENIROM 2000 SRL, we developed an innovative Chrome extension connected to a Flask web app with an API, utilizing SmartBill software to fetch real-time price history and add a new column to the invoice or proforma creation page, providing users with detailed information on previous product prices.

Challenge

Managing prices and verifying their history was a manual and time-consuming process. DENIROM 2000 SRL needed an automated solution that integrates with SmartBill software to provide real-time information on product prices and facilitate invoice creation.

Solution

We developed a customized Chrome extension using Python and Flask for the backend and JavaScript for the frontend. The extension fetches price history from SmartBill in real-time and adds a new column to the invoice or proforma creation page, where users can view and verify previous product prices. A red X column indicates unverified products, and on click, the extension returns previous prices and turns the red X into a green checkmark to show the product has been verified.

Result

The implementation of the extension automated the price verification process and improved invoice management efficiency for DENIROM 2000 SRL. Users can now see price history in real-time and quickly verify products, leading to reduced errors and significant time savings.
